Alumni Participation Notice
Version 2026-10-pilot-1-draft
This notice explains, in plain language, what Postgame collects about former College of Charleston student-athletes in our alumni pilot, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. It's short on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask us.
Who we are
Postgame is a private networking service that connects current and former college athletes, starting with the College of Charleston. It is run by its founder, Hogan Walker, a current College of Charleston student-athlete, acting independently.
Postgame is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the College of Charleston or College of Charleston Athletics. We use the college's name only to describe who Postgame is for.
Who this is for
Adults (18 or older) who competed as College of Charleston student-athletes and have been personally invited to join. Postgame is not a recruiting service and is not connected to any NIL collective.
What we collect, and where it comes from
Before you join. To save you time, we prepare a short profile by hand from public sources, such as official College of Charleston athletics rosters and media guides, public professional profiles, and company websites: your name, CofC sport and years, current title, employer, industry, city and state, a public profile link, and the contact address or account we use to invite you. We don't buy data or use automated tools to collect it. This profile is visible only to Postgame's administrator.
When you join. The details you confirm or edit, what you're open to offering, how many requests you want each month, the email address you sign in with, and the date and version of this notice you agreed to.
Automatically. When your invite link is opened, and basic sign-in and security records kept by our service providers. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
To invite you; to verify your CofC roster history and career details (we note which public source we checked); to show your approved profile to verified members; to respect the request limit you set; and to contact you about your profile and the pilot. We don't add you to marketing lists.
Who can see what
Your profile becomes visible only after you join and we verify your CofC roster history and career details and an administrator approves it. After that, it's visible to verified current and former College of Charleston athletes signed in to Postgame. It is never public on the internet.
Your email address, contact details, and our verification notes are never shown to other members.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run Postgame for us, under their own security and privacy terms: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), and our email delivery provider (sign-in codes). Your information is stored in the United States.
We don't sell your information, share it for advertising, or give it to the College of Charleston or anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Community standards
Postgame is for career conversations: advice, introductions, and sharing your path. Members may not use it to recruit high school or prospective students, or to offer athletes gifts, money, or NIL deals. Any job or internship mentioned should be a normal role, paid at the usual rate for the work, and never tied to someone's athletic ability or status. We may hide profiles that break these standards.
Your choices
Not interested? Tap “Not for me” on your invite page, or just tell us. We immediately erase the profile details we prepared and keep only your name, sport, and the contact address we used, marked “do not contact,” so we never reach out again.
No response? If you don't respond within 90 days of your invitation, we delete the profile we prepared.
Leave anytime. Hide your profile from your account page. It disappears from the network immediately. If you don't come back within 12 months, we delete it.
Change or delete. Ask us to correct your details, or to delete your information entirely, and we'll do it within 30 days. A full deletion removes your profile, our notes, and your sign-in account. If you'd also like us never to contact you again, tell us and we'll keep only your name and contact address on our do-not-contact list.
Security
Access to member information is restricted and enforced by the database itself. Invite links work once and expire after 30 days, and connections are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure; if a security incident affects your information, we'll tell you as required by law.
Changes to this notice
If we make a meaningful change, we'll tell you before it takes effect and, where needed, ask for your agreement again. The version at the top changes with every update.
